  • SAEINDIA-COER REPRESENTED COER IN ECO KART- 2017 MAIN EVENT, The team secured a cash prize of Rs. 15000/- for being stood first in the virtual round of eco-kart -2017.
  • Industrial visit was organized for Mechanical Engineering third year student, student visited Uttam Sugar Mill Limited on 21/02/2017 and 22/02/2017
  • A team of 50 students of second year Mechanical Engineering branch visit CIMT Unit of BEG & Centre Roorkee along with two faculty member Mr. Thomas Mathew and Mr. Ankit Singhal took part in this industrial visit.
  • College of Engineering Roorkee organized a JOB FAIR (11th and 12th May 17) in which 44 students of Mechanical engineering have been placed in different companies like Iravati Construction pvt. Ltd. Amzon, LRP industries, Genpact etc.
  • Mechanical Engineering department organized Summer Internship Program(SIP MAY’17) in Biomass and Bioenergy, Design of Air Heater, CNC theory and Practical and Fluid mechanics, renewable energy and design innovation
  • A three day workshop on EFFICIENT ENERGY GENERETATION AND UTILIZATION IN UTTARAKHAND was organized during March 10-12, 2016 at COER, Roorkee.
  • The SAE-COER collegiate club recently participated in a national level event MEGA ATV CHAMPIOSHIP 2016 The event is being organised by Autosports India, in association with Kalinga Motorsports Club, supported by Ministry of Sports, Govt. of Odisha, FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile) and FMSCI (Federation of Motorsports Club of India) from March 04-March 07, 2016 at Bhubaneshwar.
  • A Industrial visit was organized by the ME Department for the second year Students at Anchor Electricals, BHEL, Haridwar
  • Workshop on Digital Design Using MATLAB was organized by ET Deptt for ET II year students on 20th October’15 and the speaker was Mr. Ashutosh Shukla Assistant Professor of EN Deptt COER.

  • 50 students and Three faculty members have visited prestigious Bengal Engineering Group Roorkee ,where army personal demonstrated the communication equipments used by Indian Army on Feb 24,2016

  • Entrepreneurship Development Seminar is organized in association Industries Association of Uttarakhand, Dr.Ashish Karn (ME Deptt.) is the convener of this seminar.
  • Group of Mechanical final year student (Vishal Narula, Aman Thakur, Ankit Uniyal, Shasvat Kalra) published a paper in ELSEVIER “Process parameter optimization of low temperature transesterification of alage- Jatropha Curcas oil blend” under the guidance of Dr.Siddharth Jain.
  • COER students have prepared bio-diesel from algal oil in the department of mechanical engineering under the supervision of Dr.Siddhath Jain. The bio-diesel prepared was also tested successfully in college bus from COER to Roorkee.
  • Dr.Ashish Karn helped student for creating new business ideas for the event Entrepreneurial Walkthon organized by Industries Association of Uttarakhand in collaboration with Government of Uttarakhand, the event was flagged by Chief Minister Mr. Harish Rawat.
  • Group of Mechanical final year and third year students (Vishal Narula, Ankit negi, Shashank Tewari & Mohd. Fazil Khan) along with Dr.Siddharth Jain participated and and presented a paper in National Conference on Science & Technology for National Development Organized by The Indian Science Congress Association: Haridwar Chapter and Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar 249 404, Uttarakhand.
  • Department of ME has successfully completed a winter internship program organized by Dr. Siddharth Jain in the area of bio mass and bio energy; in this internship 12 students have participated. Three project have been completed viz. “Bio gas production from food waste” , “Pyrolysis of cow dung to produce liquid fuel”, “Insitu transesterfication of dry algae”
  • Thomas Mathew, (Chief Faculty advisor SAE INDIA@COER )has attended a two day workshop (on Automobile Design and Validation) and SAE Faculty advisor empowering program conducted at Priyadarshini college of Engineering, Nagpur on 21st and 22nd of June 2013.In this two day workshop he gained extensive knowledge in various aspects of automobile design and validation. During this workshop he was also given hands on training in the esteemed manufacturing unit of Mahindra & Mahindra Nagpur.
  • Mrs. Gunjan Agrawal delivered a lecture on environmental aspects in machining at DRDO, Dehradun in continuing education program on Advances in Manufacturing Technology on 4 June 2014.
