A couple of years back, I took over as Registrar of this wonderful institution, College of Engineering Roorkee (COER). Every hour or two I spend in the lecture hall with the students. I felt and I realized "Learn the power of words". A word of praise, a slight encouragement and no task is impossible for these students. We, in this Institute celebrate the most valuable gift, the most powerful and the most potent, the gift of words that encourage. That's what we are about....
Once a group of frogs when, travelling through the woods two of them fell into a deep pit. As good as dead. They, with all their might, jumped and jumped. All the while the others were telling them. "It's no use". Listening to this one of the frogs gave up and died. The other continued to struggle and survived. When he got out and was asked, "Did you not hear us"? "No", he replied. " I AM DEAF".
Nature offers so many such examples. You cannot nag flower to bloom. Only careful nurturing will do that. No negative snap judgments work.
Therefore, go COERians, go. Believe in yourselves. If other can do it, you can do it too.
