Telecommunication , Instrumentation, VLSI, Embedded System, Robotics, Signal processing are the fields of Electronics Engineering where electronic components such as semiconductor devices, are utilized to design electronic circuits, devices and communication systems. The department, established in the year 1999 has consistently served as a genesis of engineers of excellent caliber in the field of Electronics Engineering for last 15 years.

The Department envisions to provide students with all the necessary skills required to meet the needs of current technological advancements in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering by offering quality higher education and establishing a learning environment consistent with industry standards in academics and research.


  1. Develop state of-the-art infrastructure for effective teaching learning process and quality research.
  2. Offer well-balanced curriculum, well-balanced programme of instruction, lab practices, research& development activities to acquire professional competencies.
  3. Ensure effective teaching-learning process to provide in-depth knowledge of principles and its applications pertaining to Electronics & Communication Engineering and interdisciplinary areas.
  4. Enhance overall personality development which includes innovative and group work exercises, communication skills, entrepreneur skills and employability.
  5. Provide industry and department interactions through consultancy, sponsored research and interaction with outside world regarding technological trends and entrepreneurship.

Program Outcomes (POs)

PO-1 Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO-2 Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
PO-3 Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
PO-4 Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
PO-5 Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
PO-6 The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

PEO1 To train the students by providing an education, not just engineering training, by enhancing their soft skills, social skills, so that they can work and contribute to the development of this nation by building projects/gadgets/devices that serves this country, undertaken by Govt. and private or any other sector companies.
PEO2 To train students in such as a way that they can pursue higher studies so that they can contribute to the Design, Research and pedagogical development toelectronics engineering and other applied fields and should function effectively in the multicultural and multidisciplinary groups for the sustainable development and growth of the individual.
PEO3 Maintaining a socio-civic culture that promotes and allows students, staff, and faculty to excel in their endeavors and enrich the experience of students by cooperating with and assisting them in the realization of their career goals especially as these involve their life-long learning and career development.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

PSO-1 The Graduates of this Programme with proficiency in mathematics and applied sciences able construct Electronic circuits and to Simulate the circuits with software tools which lead to the development of Electronic gadgets.
PSO-2 The graduates will design and analyze various signal processing blocks for Image and Signal processing systems.
PSO-3 The graduates will be Analyze various Networking and Communication areas and its impact in real time applications.
PSO-4 Implement their professional skills and techniques in the integrated circuit design which are applicable to industrial and societal needs.
