Computer Programming Lab

About Lab

The purpose of this course is to introduce to students to the field of programming using C language. The students will be able to enhance their analyzing and problem solving skills and use the same for writing programs in C.

  • This culminates with the successful completion of a year-long project drawn from the industry or research field;applying the concepts learnt throughout the graduation. the project is periodically reviewed by the mentors and the assigned instructor.

Electronics Circuits Lab

About Lab

The main objective of this curriculum/course is to make the students well versed with basic electronic components and circuits. The students can Understand the nature and scope of modern electronics.
Describe physical models of basic components.
Design and construct simple electronic circuits to accomplish a specific function, e.g., designing amplifiers, ADC converters etc.
Understand their capabilities and limitations and make decisions regarding their best utilization in a specific situation.

  • The combination of lecture and laboratory sessions provides learning opportunities that should enable the student to do the following upon completion of this course:
  • Set up a bias point in a transistor.
  • Verify the working of diodes, transistors and their applications.
  • Build a common emitter/base/collector amplifier and measure its voltage gain.
  • Understand the use of RPS and CRT.
  • Explore the operation and advantages of operational amplifiers.
  • Learn to design different types of filters and apply the same to oscillators and amplifiers.
  • Exploring the circuitry which converts an analog signal to digital signal.

Digital Electronics Lab

About Lab

To acquire the basic knowledge of digital logic level synthesis and application of knowledge to understand various gates, flip flops, sequential circuit design, combinational circuit design, ALU design, registers, shifters etc. & to prepare students to perform the analysis and design of various digital electronic circuits.

Analog Integrated Circuit Lab

About Lab

Analysis, design, and applications of modern analog circuits using integrated bipolar and field effect transistor technologies. Introduce the principles of analog circuits and apply the techniques for the design of analog integrated circuit (Analog IC’s). Apply the methods learned in the class to design and implement practical projects. The class will have a lab (or projects for graduate students). The final objective of the class is to implement a complete analog system. In each week’s lab, the class will build parts of the system with an overall objective of completing the entire system by the end of the term.

  • Students will demonstrate the use of analog circuit analysis techniques to analyze the operation and behavior of various analog integrated circuits.
  • Students will demonstrate their knowledge by designing analog circuits.

Circuit Design on PCB

About Lab

This course encompasses analog and digital electronic circuits from a circuit and monolithic (integrated circuit) implementation point of view. The objective of this course is to provide Year 3 electrical and electronic undergraduates with sufficient fundamental theoretical and practical knowledge to pursue advanced topics in analog and digital integrated circuits.

Lab Outcomes

  • The course includes the design of elements in bipolar- and CMOS-based op amps, feedback, power supplies, linear and non-linear applications circuits with the op amp as the basic building block, and transistor circuits for realising basic digital circuits.
  • This course provides sufficient basic knowledge for the undergraduate to understand the design of op amps and their applications as well as the design of digital circuits.

Analog Communication Lab

About Lab

Study the second order low pass filter and its characteristics. Study the second order High pass filter and its characteristics. Study about the Second order active Band Pass Filter. Study about the Second order active Band Stop Filter. Design the Schmitt trigger circuit for given values of UTP and LTP. Test the Schmitt trigger circuit for the given values of UTP and LTP Study the technique of generating higher frequencies using PLL. Understand circuit operations for Frequency synthesis using PLL.

Lab Outcomes

  • It helps students to learn the design of filters which are the basic building blocks in any communication system and will understand various terminologies used therein.
  • LPF are used in the transmitter circuits for band limiting the base band signals and at the receiver end to demodulate and get back the original base band data.
  • It helps the students to learn the basic working of band pass filters and band elimination filters.
  • They analyze the sine to square wave conversion of the signals using op-amp. It’s a type of comparator with 2 different threshold voltage levels. Student will learn about comparators and zero cross detectors.

Advanced Microprocessors Lab.

About Lab

processors are increasingly pervading all aspects of industries like mobile communicstion, wireless communication, Radar communication, signal processing, process automation and, smart education integration and intertestingly in the household products. leading examples of these techniques are the microprocessor, and microcontroller based products getting quick visibility everywhere, as its use increases the need for knowledge and understanding also grows. The Advance Microprocessors Lab/Microprocessors and microcontroller lab was designed to give an overview over the programming of such a microprocessor as well microcontroller based system. The students will write and debug assembly language programs using the various simulators and assemblers and then interact with the hardware with their approach of programming. This Lab provides students with the opportunity to gain experience in software cum hardware interactive approach to microprocessor-based system design, assembly language programming, and I/O interfacing to microprocessors, microcontroller based system design.

  • Apply the fundamentals of assembly level programming of microprocessors and microcontrollers.
  • Build a program on a microprocessor and microcontroller using their respective instruction sets.
  • Summarize the concepts of Assembly level language programming and its applications on real projects.
  • Analyze abstract problems and apply a combination of hardware and software to address the problem
  • Contrast how different I/O devices can be interfaced to processor and will explore several techniques of interfacing.

DSP Lab.

About Lab

Digital Processing lab will introduce the basic concepts and techniques for processing signals on a computer by using various softwares will make you familiar with the most important methods in DSP, including digital filter design, transform-domain processing and importance of Signal Processors. The course emphasizes on intuitive understanding and practical implementations of the theoretical concepts.

  • Represent discrete-time signals analytically and visualize them in the time domain.

About Lab

The conventional methods of communication used analog signals for long distance communications, which suffer from many losses such as distortion, interference, and other losses including security breach. In order to overcome these problems, the signals are digitized using different techniques. The digitized signals allow the communication to be more clear and accurate without losses.

Data Structure Lab.

About Lab

The objective of this lab is to teach students various data structures and to explain them algorithms for performing various operations on these data structures. This lab complements the data structures course. Students will gain practical knowledge by writing and executing programs in C or C++ using various data structures such as arrays, linked lists, stacks, queues, trees, graphs, hash tables and search trees.

  • The student will be able to Design and analyze the time and space efficiency of the data structure.
  • Identity the appropriate data structure for given problem.

Microwave Lab.

About Lab

This laboratory helps the student in each of the design, simulation, fabrications and measurements of Microwave circuits. The Lab will help each of the undergraduate students and the teaching staff for their researches. This lab is well equipped with a microwave measurement system, Network Analyzer upto 145 GHz and an anechoic chamber up to 18 GHz. Also we have a time domain antenna radiation pattern set up to 18 GHz. Undergraduate students will be served by this laboratory in their course project. This lab is also intended to provide an appropriate environment for Master thesis work, PhD thesis work and also faculty research in the field of Microwave and Millimeter wave systems.

About Lab

Better interaction between Technical institutions and industry is the need of the hour. This will have great bearing on the Engineering Curriculum, exposure of industrial atmosphere to engineering students and subsequent placement of young graduating engineers in industries across the country. With the advent of globalization and opening

OFC & VLSI Simulation Lab.

About Lab

This lab course is associated with the theory course on the same topic (OSE 4470) on Introduction to the Principles of Optical Fiber Communication Systems. This laboratory course will enable students to relate what they have learnt in classroom to practical, hands-on experiments that will be performed in a fiber optic communication laboratory. Take away the “fear factor” by providing experience of operating various equipment. Establish good practices in experimentation including accurate data collection, and critical thinking, analysis of data, and sources of error. Learn to write lab reports.

It will build on the existing body of work on education and culture, but its aim is explore and develop new perspectives in this area. A seminar may be defined as a gathering of people for the purpose of discussing a stated topic. Such gatherings are usually interactive sessions where the participants engage in discussions about the delineated topic.
